The History behind the Dom Perignon Champagne

Dom Perignon is a popular and celebrated champagne brand that dates back to a 17th century Benedict monk, Dom Pierre Perignon. He was passionate about creating the best wine in the world. He was the cellar master and procurator of Abbey of Saint Pierre d’Hautville’s in Northern France, the birthplace of champagne.

He spent 47 years of his life creating several vintage wines from France’s renowned Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. King Louis XIV admired his wine.
