Henri Giraud Champagne is a house managed by Claude Giraud from an old family settled in Ay Vineyards. It is the oldest Champagne house still owned by its founding family – the Giraud-Hémart family since 1625. However, wines have been released under the family name only when the current head Claude Giraud took over the company. The house started selling wines from the 20th century when Leon Giraud married Madeleine Hemart.
