Charles Heidsieck started Charles Heidsieck Champagne in 1851. It is one of the successful Champagne houses with a greatly distinguished lineage. The Descours family took it over in 2011.

The history behind Charles Heidsieck Champagne

Charles Heidsieck first moved to America in 1851, an untouched champagne region that helped him establish a champagne house. He was the brand ambassador of Champagne and France in America by selling plenty of drinks in New York, Luciana, and Southern parts of the country.

He soon established his business in Belgium and England, which helped them get recognition even in the royal courts of Europe. The production house and the wine yards are in an ultra-modern locality on the southern outskirts of Reims. They age the wines in special chalk cellars , which run up to 8 km with 40 crayeres.
