It is a 200 years old family owned champagne house whose 7th generation is working to satisfy champagne lovers. It is the 7th most admired champagne brand in the year 2021. The history behind Billecart-Salmon Champagne
Billecart-Salmon Champagne is a 200 years old champagne house that was founded by a couple just after their marriage. Initially, they were traders and farmers but soon founded a champagne house. Later, Elisabeth Salmon’s brother Louis Salmon too joined the champagne house as the chief winemaker.
At the end of the war in around 1919, the House was left only with 75,000 bottles, but it was collective efforts of the family that they managed to boost up the sales by more than 217,000 bottles per year till 1936.
