About Tromba Tequila

Tromba Tequila was founded by Marco Cedano in 1988. He is the Master distiller and the prominent face of the brand, who revolutionized premium tequila. The company produces premium tequila using a team of expert agave growers and traditional distillery techniques.

The history behind Tromba Tequila

Tromba Tequila has taken the alcohol industry by storm after its introduction as one of the premium tequilas in the world. The name ‘Tromba’ refers to intense rainstorms of the Jalisco highlands that nourish the agave plants.

The founder of the Tromba tequila fuels passion and purpose with their team of expert agave growers, distillers, and his son Rodrigo in revolutionizing tequila.

They grow the agave in Los Altos in the highlands of Jalisco. The plants are cultivated at an elevation of over 5200 feet, which makes tequila one of the prominent products of the region.

After seven years of maturation, the agave is harvested, giving the tequila complex flavors and characteristics. Marco and Rodrigo choose the matured agave plants by hand. Then, Jimadors harvest the agave hearts and process them for distillation.

The distillery is in the highland town of Atotonilco, Jalisco, where they use traditional techniques to create rich flavors and aromas in the Tequila. Caramelization and the fermentation process of the agave impart plenty of complexity to the drinks.

Why is Tromba Tequila So Popular?

Tromba Tequila is the first premium Tequila made in Mexico. The brand uses hand-harvested agave and water from its own well, giving the drink a distinct flavor profile.
