Hibiki Japanese Harmony whisky is a harmonious blend of malt and grain whiskies which are blended together to create a unique drink with blossoming and seductive aromas and flavors.
The House of Suntory launched the Hibiki Harmony Whisky in 1989 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the brand. This is Japan’s most highly awarded blended whisky and one of the most prestigious whiskies globally.
The Japanese harmony whisky comes in a square bottle with Japanese lettering labeled on the front and back of the bottle. It is a blended Japanese whisky from 12 unique grain and malt whiskies produced at the Yamasaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries in Japan. They crafted each bottle of Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky with 24 facets that represent the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar.
The luminous amber whisky has delicate rose, lychee, rosemary, and mature woodiness from sandalwood. It has a sweet palate with notes of honey, candied orange peel, and white chocolate that gives a tender and long finish to the drink with the hint of Japanese oak.

About Suntory Whisky
The House of Suntory, which Shinjiro Torii founded in 1899, produces Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky. His grandson, Shingo Tori, currently operates the company.
The history behind Suntory Whisky
Suntory Whisky was first started in Osaka, Japan, by Shinjiro Torii in 1899. He imported wines from western countries and blended them to suit the Japanese palate.
They constructed the first Japanese whisky distillery in Yamazaki, one of the finest Japanese places that offer the perfect climate, terrain, and waters to distill and mature whiskies. This distillery is at the meeting of three rivers, Katsura, Uji, and Kizu, which provide the finest and purest waters for the production of whisky in Japan.
Keizo Saji, the heir to the House of Suntory, constructed the second distillery after 50 years. The Hakushu distillery is in the forest of Mount Kaikomagatake in Japan’s Southern Alps.
The master blender, Shingo Tori, and the chief blender, Shinji Fukuyo, developed Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky. They blended grain whisky from Chita Distillery that is aged in American oak casks, Sherry casks, and Japanese Oak casks with malt whiskies from the Yamazaki Distillery that gives complex flavors to the drink.
The House of Suntory released single malt whisky; Yamazaki in 1984; the Hibiki whisky in 1989; the Hakushu malt whisky in 1994 and Chita; a single grain whisky in 2015 Suntory Toki Whisky in 2016.
