About De Luze Cognac
Cognac De Luze is run by the 24th generation of the Maison Boinaud, which was established in the 1640s. It is the largest family-owned estate in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac, with over 1000 acres. In addition, the company operates its own distillery with 41-pot stills and cooperage, making it one of the best French cognac brands globally.
The History behind De Luze Cognac
In 1817, brothers Alfred and Louis-Philippe first came to New York to build a business in America and established a spirit shop. Later, they realized it would be better if they produced spirits in the Bordeaux region of Cognac. Alfred, therefore, returned to the Cognac region and started producing spirits by establishing Maison De LuzeandFils.
Over four decades, they expanded the company by producing French Fine Champagne in Bordeaux and distributing it via the brother’s agency in New York. Then, they slowly started selling cognac in the European countries.
Alfred acquired Margaux, a small wine-growing region in Bordeaux, and also Domaine de Chaine, a wine-growing area in the Grande Champagne region.
The Boinaud family later purchased the De Luze brand in 2006. But, until now, they have taken care of the business which two brothers once started.
Why is De Luze Cognac So Popular?
De Luze brand is famously popular among liquor specialists because of its experience, knowledge, and total production process in control of the estate. The company sells unfiltered and best-distilled cognacs with no caramel coloring or sugar. Their cognac age longer in barrels made at their own cooperage.
