The whisky is ideal for sipping, having it on the rocks, or putting it into light cocktails since it is very versatile with what you can do with it. The aroma has delicate vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch notes with a fruit and floral character. It has a creamy flavor and a prickly vibrancy giving way to faint maple hints giving it a complex taste and feel. The retail price for a 750ml is $36.99

Collingwood Double-Barreled

Double Barreled is made from a single type of whisky. The spirit is matured in oak barrels, decanted, and then finished in heavily toasted and lightly charred oak barrels to mature it further. It then gets rested in stainless steel, marrying vats with toasted Maplewood staves. The extended maturation creates tastes of cinnamon spice, toasted oak, and dried orchard fruits. It has a smooth and warm finish with a smooth and intricate flavor. The retail price for a 750ml is $53.09.

About Collingwood

The Collingwood whisky is made at Canada’s longest uninterruptedly operated and owned distillery. It is located at Collingwood, Ontario. The whiskey made at their location has a storied history, giving the drink a sense of character. The whisky is light and crisp, making it ideal for sipping or putting in a lighter cocktail to make the experience even better.

The history behind Collingwood Whisky

The distillery started in 1967 to make Canadian whisky. In 1971 the distillery was purchased by Brown-Forman to make the Canadian Mist whisky. In 2011 under the Brown-Forman Master Distiller Chris Morris, the Collingwood distillery decided to launch a new artisanal brand, Collingwood Whisky, for the North American and international markets.

What makes Collingwood unique?

The whisky has a signature lineage to its creation. The distillery has been making first-class whisky since 1967 and has only gotten superior with age. Collingwood Whisky is the artisanal creation of the distillery made using immaculate water and fresh grain from local farms. It is aged in high-quality hand-made barrels of oak. Once matured, it is rested with Maplewood staves, which gives it a unique maple character.

Why is Collingwood so popular?

The whisky has a unique crisp taste reminiscent of Maplewood, which is not found in another Canadian whisky. The drink is incredibly smooth and has no harshness whatsoever. It can be sipped neat, had on the rocks, or even put into a variety of cocktails. The smoothness also lends itself to be used in some food preparations as well.
